Nothing says spring like the first azalea blooming at Maki Talo. This is mucronulatum alba. It is the earliest and hardiest azalea/rhododendron that I know of and that is growing at Maki Talo, Brantwood, Wisconsin.
This bronze plaque on a rock at Maki Talo displays a quote from Satish Kumar which reads: “Walking in nature is my prayer, my meditation and my solitude. I don’t look to the sky to find heaven. My heaven is here on Earth.”
